Aaron is being dressed in the garments of the high priest for the first time.

The tabernacle is set up and is now ready to be dedicated and sanctified to God. The tabernacle was a single use place. It’s purpose was to allow a man a place to meet with God.

Aaron was used for God as God’s instrument so he was anointed with the oil. There had to be a sin offering before they could serve the Lord and act as God’s representative.

The first offering in the new tabernacle was the sin offering. The first part was the atoning of the sins for the priest and then a total consecration of their lives to God. It was a total dedication of the man unto the Lord.
