Steps to a Healthier You

I’m not an expert when it comes to exercise. What I do know from experience and a little bit of research is that you should be active 20 – 30 mins a day. This means that if you sit on your bottom all day, you need to get up and get your heart rate up. It doesn’t have to be on a treadmill or at a gym, it could be doing exercise at home like jumping jacks or chasing the kids. Basically anything that gets your heart rate higher.

I used to go to the gym and work out for an hour almost 5 days a week and it took me a while to lose 5 lbs. I lost way more weight by changing to healthy eating habits. It’s funny because you get overweight because of what you eat so you need to workout to burn the calories. In actuality all you need to do is combine all the steps I’ve discussed in my prior posts and stay active and the weight falls off.  You don’t need to focus on how many calories are going in your body.

I’m giving this information based on my own experience and past diets, etc. I’ve been the most successful with The Body Ecology Diet which is basically all the steps we’ve been discussing. Including the right foods, exercise and probiotics in your diet will make a huge change in you life.

This is the 5th post in a series. Click this Steps to a Healthier You link to see the rest of the posts :)!  Stay tuned for more tips!
