God chose the word Jehovah to express Himself because He would become for them whatever their need might be. The word Jehovah means the Becoming One.

God is to be your only God. You should have no other gods.

When man creates an idol they lose all consciousness of God’s presence. Idol’s are an indication of a degraded spiritual state.

Saying God’s name in a profane way isn’t the only way to take God’s name in vain. If you’re not obeying Him, you’re taking His name in vain.

The law is intended to drive us to Jesus Christ. We need to realize that we’re spiritually bankrupt.
