Singer/songwriter David Barnes has a way of capturing people with his music. His single “God Gave Me You,” off the album What We Want, What We Get (Amazon | iTunes), was inspired by his wife Annie who supported him through all the ups and downs in life. After releasing the song, David received lots of fan mail saying the song’s message has, “saved marriages or became a theme for a couple’s relationship.”

“God Gave Me You, ’ is a song that I wrote for my wife,” Barnes explains. “It’s just kind of a thank you to not only her, but to God putting us together and letting me be with someone who is so well suited for me and my struggles. It’s sort of like a big bouquet of music that I wrote to give to her.”
