The First Years

My son just turned 4 yrs old so I decided to transfer him to a booster car seat.  He’s been bugging me to upgrade his seat because he’s a “big boy” now.  I finally had to come to the realization that he was ready to make the switch. I was a little sad at first because he’s my baby but mommy had to grow up too :)!

Booster Seat

We did our research and found that The First Years Compass B570 Pathway Booster Car Seat was the best for us. It’s been awarded the highest ease of use rating- five stars- from the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA) and a “Best Bet” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

First Year Booster Seat

I was so excited when the booster seat arrived. I usually have my husband assemble things but I decided I was going to do this one. It was so easy, I just pulled it out of the box.  It was folded in half in the box and fully assembled.  All I had to do was unfold it and put it in the car.

Booster Seat Cup Holder

I love all the features of this booster seat. I love how it allows you the flexibility to adjust the shoulder belt path up to 1.5″. This makes your child comfortable and secure. One of my favorite features is the removable and dishwasher safe cup holders.  My kids always manage to have sticky cup holders and now I can just throw them in the dishwasher!First Years

Lastly, the seat is lightweight, making it easy to move when traveling. It only weighs 9 lbs. and can be used with children 30-100 lbs (3-10 years old).  You can check out all the specifics on The First Years website. You’ll also be happy to know that the box the booster seat arrives in is a perfect box for playing.  Out of all the toys we have, my kids choose the boxes :)!
