I just completed my very first DIY project! I was inspired to do this because my 7 year old girls don’t keep track of their jewelry. I got them jewelry boxes but they don’t work very well.
When I was a kid my mom made a similar organizer for my jewelry so I just worked off my memory.
Supplies:
- A frame of any size. It depends on how many earrings you have.
- Wire netting or even screen will work. Take your frame with you to get your netting and have them cut it to size. I didn’t think of that at first and hubby had to cut it for me.
- Ceiling hooks
- Paint, if you plan on painting it.
Directions:
- Remove the glass and backing from the frame.
- Paint it.
- Place your wire netting in the frame and secure it with the little nubs on the frame.
- Take the ceiling hooks and screw them in under the frame.
- That’s it! Hang it on the wall.
I’m so excited about how this turned out it works perfect! The only thing that they need a little container for is their stud earrings and rings. They are very much into dangling earrings so they don’t have many stud earrings. We had so much fun doing this and will definitely be doing more projects.
