Here is the unbroken chain of men from Adam to Noah.  The only exception to this is Enoch who was taken from the earth by God.

Enoch was a man of faith, he represents the church which will also be taken out of the world during the rapture.

Noah symbolizes the 144,000 Jews that will go through the tribulation but they will be protected by God.
