The angel represents Jesus. The description matches the one in the first chapter. The rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant with man.

The little book is the unsealed scroll. It’s the deed to the earth.

The loud cry is the second coming of Christ. More references are made to this loud cry in Isaiah 42:13, Jeremiah 25:30, Hosea 11:10 and Joel 3:16.

Eating (reading) the book was pleasant but digesting it was bitter.
