The online environment is becoming more common in the lives of people these days.  Most kids are on the internet through many sources including their mobile phones.  It’s like a world of it’s own when your online. No one knows who you are, it’s like a whole new life. The sad thing is that some people have taken advantage of the internet and created harmful issues that kids face daily on this earth.

As a mother of three young kids, this is a huge concern. Not only can your child be harassed by a “bully” at school, they can face cyberbullying in their online environment.

First off, let me re-emphasize that the internet is accessible from many devices kids carry these days. It’s a technical world out there and mostly everything has a WiFi capability.  My kids have a Nintendo DS and you can access the internet from there. In my situation, my kids are way to young to be on the internet for any reason so I just block the access.

Those of you that have kids that have a need for internet access due to school or another function need to be protected.  Internet safety is becoming a very popular topic and I recommend that you look into it.  Protection is even available for mobile phone users.  You need to protect your child today from being tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated and embarrassed by a cyberbully!
