We attended the American Family Pet Expo at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa yesterday. I wanted to let you know how much fun we had because you can still attend today and tomorrow! This years theme is “Salute to Hollywood Pets” where Expo guests can meet the four-legged and feathered stars and learn about the roles pets play in television and movies.

Pictured above are the kids with Papi and Chloe from Disney’s “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”. They had a Mariachi Band with them, it was very cute!

We sat and watched the bird show which was very interesting. The trainer had to make sure no dogs were in sight when he brought out certain birds, some of them are very aggressive. He had birds that I had never heard of before. They were just another confirmation of God’s beautiful  creation. After the show, we visited the petting zoo and fed some farm animals. The kids has so much fun!

There are over 1,000 animals of all shapes and sizes on display in fun and interactive stage shows, competitions and demonstrations. Do not leave without getting a funnel cake. They were so good and they topped them with fresh fruit rather then fruit goop!

General Admission is $12.00. Seniors 60 and over are $10, Children 6-12 are $6 and children 5 yrs and under are free. You can save $2 off general admission tickets by purchasing them online at www.PetExpoOC.org. Show hours are Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-6pm.
