The 24 elders may represent the Old and New Testament or the church in heaven.

The “Seven Spirits of God”  is a description of the sevenfold working of the Spirit in Christ, this is found in Isaiah 11:2.

Beast refers to the living creatures (Ezekiel 1 and 10)

The appearance of the creatures might be the representation of the four aspects of Christ in the Gospel: lion, man, calf and eagle.
