Here’s a good slow cooker fajita recipe. You can make it with either beef or chicken. I found this recipe online at the Crockpot 365 blog.

Recipe: Slow Cooker Beef Fajitas

  • 2 lbs of thin cut stir fry beef or chicken.
  • 1 or 2 packets of fajita seasoning mix, 2 packs may be too spicy.
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup of water
  1. Put the meat in the crockpot (It can be frozen or thawed).
  2. Cut the onion and the peppers in strips, and add to them to the meat.
  3. Add the seasoning and water.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours, or high for 6. The meat is done when it reaches desired tenderness.


Steak Fajitas

I used Top Sirloin for the meat and had the butcher at the grocery store cut it into strips. I added the meat to the crockpot frozen which made it really easy.

I used red and green bell pepper in this recipe because the other colors were so expensive! The recipe came out good but I personally prefer to have more like grilled onions and peppers rather then soggy. I think next time I may cook the meat separate from the veggies. I loved the tenderness of the meat so the slow cooker is the way to go for that!

the meat won't have quite the same taste if not putting the onion and peppers in. I put 1/3 in the pot and grilled the rest sprinkled with some of the seasoning packet. I also added some firm sliced tomatos to what i grilled. Worked pretty good.
