Christ was with God from the beginning (Micah 5:2)

John wrote this epistle so our joy may be full (John 15:11, 16:24). We have continual joy in the Lord based on the relationship we have with Him as His children.

God is completely pure with no darkness (John 3:19). Light exposes and gets rid of darkness (John 1:9).

The blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed us from all sin.

The word “sin” is a reference to man’s nature which is dominated by the body’s needs and appetites. It is part of our nature to struggle to keep our spirit under control (1 Corinthians 9:27).
