We live in a mountain community with literally no street lights at night. I’ve been searching for a home security service to ease my mind about our home security and I came across a company called Vivint. They have simple solutions that are affordable!

My favorite feature they offer is that you can control the system from anywhere. You can travel to work or take the kids to the park and manage your security system at the same time! You can monitor the thermostat, lights, and small appliances all from your smart phone or computer.

These awesome features enable you to save energy and money.  This is such a great situation for my household because I turn the thermostat down in the day and then up at night.  I can already imagine myself heading home on a cold night with the kids and being able to turn  the lights on and the thermometer up before we arrive home.

I highly encourage you to check it out for yourself. I never thought these kind of features would be available from a home security company. We used to set our thermostat on a timer and it would always mess up the function of our thermostat.  I’m so happy to see another option available!
