Does the picture above look familiar? I lose hair every time I brush my hair and sometimes it’s more then others. I’ve been doing a little research to find out what is a normal amount of hair to lose.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, most people lose anywhere from 50 to 100 strands of hair each day. You can lose up to 250 strands on the days that you wash your hair. Most of us don’t have time to count the strands of hair we lose each day but there are obvious signs of thinning that can occur.

- More hair then normal will be in your comb when you brush your hair.
According to the America Academy of Dermatology there is a hereditary condition called androgenetic alopecia that affects about 30 million American women. It happens to about 50% of women and mostly occurs in the late 50s or 60s but it can happen at any time, even during teenage years.
What does this mean? We must pay close attention to a change in our hair loss. The good news is that there are solutions for hair loss in women. If you experience any of these symptoms, be sure to consult your doctor for further testing.
