Several weeks ago I wrote a post that my daughters and I would be taking the Listerine Oral Care Challenge.  To complete the challenge we had to brush, floss and rinse every day, twice a day for two weeks.

LISTERINE and REACH sent us toothbrushes, mouthwash and dental floss to get us started.  We chose our toothbrushes and got started on our first day. This was really different for us because we usually only brush and floss once a day. We never use mouthwash so we had a lot of change to work into our daily routine.

We had a great variety of mouthwash to choose from which was a great help in getting started. My girls were completely oblivious to mouthwash. I felt like a terrible parent because I never had them use it before.  I didn’t let myself get down about it and explained to the girls that I had never used it before either.

They decided to start with the Barbie Bubble Gum mouthwash and loved it.  The floss was a little harder for them to use, we usually use the floss picks for them so they can reach every tooth. I on the other hand loved the floss. They sent us REACH Total Care floss and it was wide and had elasticity.  I liked it because it reached the hard to get places in my gums.

We did very well with our challenge and love the fact that it changed our habits. We aren’t flossing twice a day but we are brushing and rinsing two times a day on most days. I say most days because we do run into late nights where the kids are either asleep or just too tired to do it at night.
