Wellness

I love the Lord and do everything and anything I can to live for him. The one thing I realized that I’m not doing is taking good care of my health.  Obviously, I can’t be perfect but I do try, LOL!

Since I was a little girl, I never had to worry about my weight. I could literally eat anything. Now I’m 32 and I’ve put on a few pounds but I wouldn’t call myself fat.  My body fat percentage is still considered “normal”.  I finally realized that it’s time to eat healthy and take care of myself because it’s biblical. I want to do it, I’m called to do it.

I’m currently doing research on how God calls us to be healthy.

  • What should we be eating?
  • How did he create our bodies to survive?
  • Why should we eat right?

Everyone has a different situation but mine is definitely self-control with food. There is no eating one brownie or cookie for me, I eat several at a time.  It’s not just about food either, it’s about exercise and utilizing the sources God gives us for optimal health.

This is a big goal for me but it’s so much easier because it’s obedience to God.  He didn’t design our bodies to consume what we do today. I feel like I just follow the current trends on health. I’m believing the lies of the world and that’s not acceptable. I’m on my own biblical mission to find optimal health God’s way.

That really is a helpful way to think about eating. Thank you!

you know what you said is so true. The lord has his plan for us and we need to take that to heart. The drug companies have alot of heath organizations in their pocket so to speak and we need to investigate for our selves. I can not tell you how much I have read regarding just how bad margarine alone is for our bodies. Research, research, research because I feel that we have not been told the whole truth about alot of things we put into our bodies.

Thank you for putting it into this perspective :-) I also live my life for Him, but my biggest problem is eating. I have two little girls and try to cook/eat healthily, but this is after years of neglecting to do so and packing on way too many pounds. I currently have about 70 pounds to lose, which is very hard to do. I've been working on it and pray daily asking for the strength to keep going, keep at it.

That is really awesome! I just got a knock on the head so I guess it's time for me to do some searching of my own. I'll let you know how it goes. Keep us informed on how it goes for you.
