Holy Bible

Sin is a violation of God’s will (Psalm 51:4)

Levi is Jesus’ disciple Matthew, he was a tax collector.

If we fast, that doesn’t mean God’s obligated to do what we ask him. Whatever he gives us is by his grace, not as a reward for what we’ve done. It’s a good idea to fast because Christians tend to pamper our flesh and starve our spirit. Christians should fast to strengthen the spirit and deny the flesh.

Jesus introduced a new relationship with God that would replace the old religious system of the Mosaic Law.

God designed the Sabbath for us as a day of rest from daily pressures.
