Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a kids helping kids project through Samaritan’s Purse. They use gift filled shoe boxes to let hurting children know they’re loved.  People from all over the world put shoes boxes together and send them to these children. You can even track your box until it’s delivered.

It’s really easy to put a shoe box together. In fact, I think it is a great way to help your children understand the people in need. I constantly tell my kids about it but it doesn’t sink in, they need a visual.  You can make this a family event and let your children pick out the items and even write a little note and send a picture to the children.

Great things to pack in the box include:  toys, school supplies, hygiene items, candy and so much more! Click here to see a list of gift suggestions and instructions on packing your box.  They do ask for a $7 donation to help cover shipping cost. You can also visit them online and make a donation for them to make and ship the box and then you can track it. Click here to visit Samaritan’s Purse now.
