This parable was a demonstration once again that Israel continually ignored God’s message and they would lose their favored status.  God would raise up the people that would do his will instead.

The only requirement to enter the marriage ceremony was to be clothed in the garment of Christ’s righteousness.  Jesus gave a summary of the law and messages of the prophets. He stated them as positive commands instead of negative commandments.
