Holy Bible

After Jesus was baptized he began to be led by the spirit.  We read in this chapter that he was first led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. The spirit led Jesus to the wilderness to test his faith. Jesus passed the test and quoted “The Word of God” to show the power of scripture.

Jesus begins his ministry and began to preach saying “Repent” for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Repent means to “turn away from”, he was saying to turn away from doing wrong. It was more than just “sorry” and continue on your path. He wants you to move in the opposite direction of wrong.

Jesus walks by the Sea of Galilee and see’s two brothers,  Peter (aka Simon) and Andrew and says to them “follow me”  and they dropped what they were doing to follow him. This was not the first time Jesus met Peter and Andrew but it was the first time he asked them to follow him.

He continues walking and see’s James and John in a boat and say’s “follow me” and they left the boat immediately and followed him. This is how Jesus started his disciples on their ministries.
