Holy Bible

Jesus’ reputation was becoming so widespread that the scribes and the Pharisees traveled from Jerusalem to Galilee to see him.

Jesus talks about how children need to honor their parents. He was speaking about the way children would get out of helping their parents. A good example of this is that children could excuse themselves from helping their parents financially by saying the already dedicated the money to God.

The scribes and Pharisees were so obsessed with tradition that they overlooked basic commandments therefore Jesus rebuked them. Jesus was committed to Israel and would always give the Jews the first opportunity to accept his as their Messiah.

This is so true it seems especially today. I am so thankful my parents are both so active in church and community activities. Thanks for your encouragement with this Bible commentary.
