Holy Bible

Jesus observed the Sabbath (day of rest) differently than the religious authorities. The Pharisees had made 39 categories of things that were forbidden on the Sabbath. They recognized the Sabbath as a sign of the Mosaic covenant. The disciples were picking grain which was against the rules of the Sabbath, so the Pharisees were trying to accuse Jesus of wrong doing. The Pharisees concluded that Jesus was trying to over throw the entire Mosaic system and needed to be destroyed. Jesus continues his ministry to his followers.

Jesus explains that every kingdom, city or family that is divided can’t continue to exist if it’s divided against itself. The Pharisees and Scribes ask for a sign, this is evidence of their unbelief. Jesus explains the story of Jonah as the resurrection.

There was a moral reformation that took place in Israel as the result of John The Baptist and Jesus’ ministry. Jesus explains that the reformation was not genuine and as a result, Israels unbelief was worse then before.
