Different Types of Coupons

Blinkie - These are the coupons that come out of the little machines ( with the little blinking lights) found near certain items in the grocery store. The coupons are usually in the machines for 4 weeks and can hold over 300 coupons.

Booklets and Pamphlets – these can contain coupons, recipes or information.

Catalinas – these print at the register. They may also be called a check out coupon. And are good “ONYO” ( on your next order). Sometimes one will print that is an announcement for an upcoming deal.

Peelies – attached to a product.

Printables – Sometimes referred to as IPs. They may be on a company’s website. Many can be found at SmartSource and RedPlum websites. You many need to download a Coupon Software to print these offers.

Snail Mail – These often come from signing up for a sample. Contacting the company by their website or phone number.

Sunday Inserts – the Smart Source (SS), Red Plum/Vlassis (RP), PGBrandSaver (PG) inserts in Sunday newspapers. Offers are regional.

Tearpads – a pad of coupons found near a product.

Hang/Winetags – a coupon that hangs on a string around a bottle. Check the fine print, not all winetag offers require an alcohol purchase.
